John J. Bodor Sheriff's Fire Police Seminar
Part I

The 2016 Seminar opened with Acting President Marilyn Miller welcoming a near capacity crowd to the Seminar. Sheriff Donald B. Smith welcomed everyone, and suggested renaming the Seminar in honor of Past President John J. Bodor. The suggestion was passed unanimously. Also addressing the attendees were Commissioner Anthony Sutton, Robert Tendy, Putnam County District Attorney, and County Executive MaryEllen Odell. The Patterson Fire Department sent a large full dress contingent to speak in honor of Past President Bodor.
Presenter the first evening was John Lembke, Deputy Coordinator for Battalion 17 of Westchester County D.E.S. who spoke about various responses to the ongoing worldwide terrorist threat.

Part II
04/20/16
The second half of the 2016 John J. Bodor Sheriff's Seminar opened at 7:00 PM on April 20. The Seminar was opened with a welcome by Acting President Marilyn Miller, who also led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. The invocation was offered by PNWFPA Chaplain Louis Metty of Continental Village F.D. The group was also welcomed by Putnam County Under-sheriff Peter Convery, and Director of EMS Bob Cuomo. The principal speaker for the evening was Putnam County Deputy Sheriff William Quick, who spoke on the topic of Crash Scene Evidence Preservation. As usual, a break gave all members an opportunity to snack and enjoy some informal conversation. The evening ended with a drawing.
