John J. Bodor Sheriff's Fire Police Seminar Part I 04/13/22 |
The evening opened with introductory remarks by PNWFPA President Marilyn Miller. She was followed by Robert Lipton, Deputy Commissioner, Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services, who welcomed everyone. Sheriff Kevin McConville was next to welcome everyone. The Chaplain was Lou Mettey from Continental Village Fire Dept. Assemblyman Kevin Byrne spoke about what's going on in Albany just before the break. Sgt. Johnathon Cihanek was the main speaker, with the topic of Traffic Control. Special note should be made of the opportunity to purchase a copy of the book "Fire Stations of Westchester County" by Mark Young, who was present to sign any books sold. The break was, as always, welcome, and many donuts were consumed. During the second half, Sgt. Cihanek spoke about new protocols for mass shooting incidents. As always, the 50 / 50 raffle was a great success, with a couple of members happy they attended the meeting. There were several new members welcomed to the organization. |
